With the full HD 17” LED-Backlit 1,000 Nits high bright display, the GRiDCASE 1517 offers a high quality, sunlight-readable display capable of presenting even the smallest of details in extreme environments.
Fully Ruggedized and Military Ready
Developed with the military and aerospace industry in mind, the GRiDCASE 1517 is housed within a fully sealed, Aluminium chassis and is built to comply with all military specifications for environmental, EMC and TEMPEST. The laptop contains a fully sealed chassis, keyboard and thumbstick and is certified to DEF STAN 59-411 Land Class B. The GRiDCASE 1517 is also able to withstand operating temperatures from -30ºC to +55ºC, giving you the peace of mind that it will keep going for as long as required.
Security Focused
Boasting the option to include up to 3 x 2.5” or M.2 removable Solid State Drives and an iButton Reader for authentication of DARC Drives, the GRiDCASE 1517 puts operational security first so you can be assured that the laptop is as secure as possible.

Up to 6 hours battery life is provided as standard, with the possibility to extend this using a dual Battery option.

That’s why, like the rest of our product range, the GRiDCASE 1517 comes with a fully customisable rear connector panel that can be configured on a specific project basis and is designed to handle any interface you need it to. Without charging for NRE you are able to choose from a mixture of military specification and commercial connectors to ensure that the GRiDCASE 1517 fits seamlessly into your current solution.
