02.02.2010 - GRiD win contract for AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter Mission Planning System
GRiD has been awarded a contract to supply 50 GRiDCASE 1595CD Rugged Laptops
to the MoD for use as a Mission Planning System Workstation for AH-64 Apache
Attack Helicopters.
The GRiDCASE 1595 is a one-man-portable, all-in-one workstation with integral
19” display, processor unit, power supply, UPS and keyboard in one compact unit.
It is a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) system which is highly configurable to
the end-user’s requirements. The GRiDCASE 1595CD uses the Flagstone Hard Drive
for Encryption to SECRET Level.

08.10.2009 - GRiD deliver the GRiDCASE 2500 Rugged Tablet for a
Demanding Mapping Application
GRiD deliver the first batch of GRiDCASE 2500 Rugged Tablets
with an Intel Core2Duo with up to 1GB of Graphics Memory to
allow the smooth running of a demanding mapping application
for tracking enemies and tracking allies concurrently.

30.09.2009 - Additional GRiDCASE 1590M Rugged Laptops use on the RNAF C130
The key requirement was to provide identically specified rugged laptops
as previously supplied to the same customer. The specification includes
RS232, RS422, Ethernet and Dual Channel 1553 Bus. The system had to
meet MIL-STAN-810F for environment and MIL-STAN-461E for EMC.

05.07.2009 - GRiD win contract for 36 GRiD 9151U Rugged Servers for Submarines
GRiD have won a contract to deliver 36 GRiD 9151U Rackmount
Servers for a secure messaging application used on the UK's
submarines. The specification for the system includes dual Gigabit Ethernet, RS422, a PCMCIA Card Slot
and RS232.

25.04.2009 - Program to develop
the GRiDCASE 1590CD Rugged Laptop as a Joint Strike
Fighter FLDT
The program is to develop a GRiDCASE 1590CD based system to provide a flight
line diagnostic tool for the weapons control system on-board the F35
Joint Strike Fighter. Key requirements for the system is to provide
single dual redundant 1553 bus and multiple Microprocessor controlled
high speed serial I/O. The system must be capable of operating in a
temperature range of -20°C to +55°C and be safe to use in ATEX Zone
II CAT C environments. The system must also comply with MIL-STD-810F
for Environment and MIL-STD-461E for EMC. The delivery of two prototype systems
was made in August 2009.

16.04.2009 - GRiD delivers the GRiDCASE 1590CD-EXP
with three internal PCI Cards
GRiD has delivered the GRiDCASE 1590CD-EXP
Laptop with all three PCI Card slots being utilised. The PCI Cards
in this instance include a Dual
Channel 1553 Card, a Digital I/O PMC Card mounted in a PMC
to PCI Card Adaptor and a PCI Time and Frequency Processor.

02.04.2009 - GRiD win contract to supply vehicle mounted systems for Special Forces
GRiD has been awarded a contract to supply 7 off GRiDCASE 1590CD
Laptops for vehicles used by the Special Forces. The Laptops have
15” UXGA 1600x1200 high resolution displays, multiple serial I/O
capability and are tested to DEF-STAN 00-35, DEF-STAN 59-411 Land
Class C and Tempest AMSG788A Level A. The systems will be delivered in July 2009.

01.04.2009 - GRiD win contract for 18 GRiDCASE 1590CD-EXP Laptops
GRiD have been awarded a contract to supply 18 GRiDCASE
1590CD-EXP Expandable Rugged Laptops to Rolls Royce for
engine monitoring on RAF Tornado aircraft. The project
required the capability to receive eight analogue signal
input feeds, signal conditioning and processing. This was
achieved by integration of five PCI-104 cards. In order
to meet stringent requirements for the environment in which
the system will be used it has to pass MIL-STD-810F,
MIL-STD-461E and ATEX testing. The systems will be delivered in October 2009.

24.02.2009 - GRiD win contract for 40 GRiDCASE 1590M Laptops
GRiD have been awarded a contract to supply 40 GRiDCASE 1590M Laptops for an Artillery Application.
The systems are mounted in vehicle for ballistics calculations.
The laptops are fully sealed systems with a high resolution sunlight
readable display, 5 serial ports and a Solid State Hard Drive running MSDOS.
Testing is being carried out to MIL-STD 810F. GRiD will deliver these units in July 2009.

08.04.2008 - Common Guided Weapon Test Set
GRiD have been awarded the contract to develop and supply a Common Diagnostics and Test System
for a wide range of air launched guided weapons based on the GRiDCASE 2500 Rugged Tablet PC.
The requirements for the system is to provide Remote Boot Server, Gigabit Ethernet and
MIL-STD-1553 functionality in a Tablet configuration with 10.4″ 1024x768 sunlight readable
touch screen display. The primary storage device is mandated to be a rugged USB memory
stick running Windows XPE. The system must be capable of meeting the
explosive atmosphere requirements of ATEX and JSP482. The first prototype units were
delivered to prime contractor MBDA in September 2008.

Tablet

entitled the GRiDCASE 2500 Tablet computer. The Rugged
Tablet has a 10.4" sunlight readable display with a
Touchscreen and uses an Intel Core2Duo Processor with up to
4GB
RAM for enough processing power to meet the most demanding
applications.

29.02.2008 - GRiD Deliver Commercial Laptop Contract to Oxford BioSignals
GRiD awarded contract for the supply of the GRiDCASE 1590M Expandable Rugged Laptops to Rolls Royce for
in-flight engine monitoring of the Trent 1000 engines used on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner Prototype Aircraft.
The project required the capability to receive eight analogue signal input feeds, signal conditioning and
processing. This was achieved by integration of five PCI-104 cards. GRiD also provided a mounting system
for the laptops that would retain the laptop securely under forces of up to 30G during a crash landing.
The contract was delivered to prime contractor Oxford Bio Signals on time and on budget in August 2008.

GRiD Defence Systems launches the GRiDCASE 1510 Subnotebook.
It is GRiD's smallest military laptop. Designed for handheld use and confined spaces.
The 1510 uses Intel Ultra Low Power Processor which allows for Long Battery Life -and Low Heat Dissipation.
The Subnotebook uses a 24V DC Input for applications such as Flight Line Data Loaders, Fire Control and System Test Sets.

GRiD have been awarded the contract for supply of GRiDCASE 1590M rugged laptops to the Royal Air Force for use as flight line
Accident Data Recorder download and replay terminals. The project required integration CAPS approved hard disk
drive encryption to SECRET cover. Interface to the aircraft is made by fast Ethernet. The contract was delivered
to the RAF on time and on budget in June 2007.

2006-Ongoing - GRiDCASE 1590 AMAT - Contract Awarded
Astronautics Corporation of America chose the GRiDCASE 1590
AMAT as the in flight laptop in the new Airbus A400M
aircraft. The latest variant of the GRiDCASE1590 features a smaller footprint,
Fixed Internal Flash Memory Hard Drive, Internal AC-DC Power Supply, 12.1" Display
and certified for in flight use. The rollout of 200 units is expected in 2009.
