GRiD deliver the first batch of GRiDCASE 2500 Rugged Tablets with an Intel Core2Duo with up to 1GB of Graphics Memory to allow the smooth running of a demanding mapping application for tracking enemies and tracking allies.

GRiD have won a contract to deliver 36 GRiD 9151U Rackmount Servers for a secure messaging application used on the UK's submarines. The system using Gigabit Ethernet to communicate with the ships equipment.

- GRiD launch the GRiDCASE 12xx series, the worlds first Intel 8088 based MS-DOS IBM PC compatible laptop PC.

- GRiD launch the GRiDCASE 1520, an Intel 80286 based IBM PC XT Compatible Laptop.

- GRiD launch the GRiDCASE 1530, the worlds first battery powered Intel 80386DX Laptop. Options include for the first time an LCD VGA Display and 16 bit ISA compatible expansion bay.

- GRiD launch the GRiDPad 1900, the worlds first Pen And Display IBM PC Compatible PC Tablet.

- GRiD Computer Systems Inc is purchased by the Tandy Corporation of Ft Worth, Texas.

1990
- GRiD launch the GRiDCASE 1550sx, based around the Intel 80386sx processor the system was the first portable PC to be designed specifically to operate the MS-Windows environment and was the first portable PC to offer an integrated pointing device. Other firsts included optional CD-ROM and Gas Plasma VGA Display.

1991
- The GRiDCASE 1537E, a specially modified member of the 153x family, becomes the first rugged portable PC to attain full TEMPEST accreditation from the NSA.

- GRiD launches the GRiDPad SL, the first Intel 80386sx based A4 Pen Tablet with built in HDD and VGA LCD Display.

- GRiD launches the GRiD Convertible, an Intel 80386sx based Notebook PC that folded using an ingenious hinge design into an A4 Pen Tablet running the Windows 3.11 operating environment.

- GRiD Defence Systems launches the first Intel Pentium based rugged notebook PC.

- GRiD Defence Systems launches the first Rugged Notebook PC to offer an integrated CD-ROM.

1998
- GRiD Defence Systems launches the GRiDCASE 1580 XGA. Utilising the Intel Pentium MMx and Pentium II processors the 1580 XGA is the worlds first rugged notebook PC to offer full "3 spindle" functionality and 14.1" 1024x768 display in a sealed Magnesium Alloy case.

- GRiD Defence Systems launches the GRiDCASE 1587 TEMPEST, a fully UK TEMPEST BTR01/210 compliant version of the GRiDCASE 1580 XGA.

2001
- GRiD Defence Systems launches the GRiDCASE 1590. Intel Pentium III Rugged Laptop with 15.1" Sunlight Readable Display, Removable Hard Disk Drive of up to 48GB, CD/RW, 1.44MB Floppy Disk Drive, Multiple I/O: RS232/422/485/IRDA/USB/LPT, Composite Video, LVDS and SCSI through MIL-C 38999 Connectors. MIL-STD 461, MIL-STD810, TEMPEST - designed to be fully configurable to meet customer project specific requirements.

2002
- GRiD Defence Systems launches the GRiDCASE 1580 XL and XL TEMPEST. Intel Pentium III Rugged and TEMPEST Rugged Laptop with 15.1" display, Removable Hard Disk of up to 48GB, CD/RW, 1.44MB Floppy Disk Drive, Fibre Optic and Copper Ethernet - COTS system for rapid deployment.

2003
– GRiD Defence Systems Launches the GRiD 9151U, a 19˝ 1U Rack Mount Server. Using either the Intel Pentium III or Pentium 4 Processor the 9151U offers 3 PCI expansion slots in a very compact form factor.

2004 - GRiD Defence Systems launches the GRiDCASE 1590M. The latest variant of the GRiDCASE 1590 features the Intel Pentium M processor, storage capacity increased to 80GB (single HDD configuration), DVD/RW capability, 1Gb Ethernet and on-board solid state storage option to supplement the existing RS232, RS422, RS485, USB and RS170 video options. Chassis improvements aid cooling at higher ambient temperatures.

2005 - GRiD Defence Systems launches the GRiDCASE 1590S. For the first time the GRiDCASE 1590S takes GRiD Defence away from the Intel/Microsoft platform and brings to the user a fully military hardened mobile UltraSPARC workstation capable of running the Solaris 64 bit operating system. The system is based around a 1.0GHz UltraSPARC IIIi CPU with up to 4GB RAM. Storage options include 80GB Hard Disk, CD/DVD ROM (read/write) and solid state up to 32GB.

2006 - GRiD Defence Systems launches the GRiDCASE 1590M AMAT. The latest variant of the GRiDCASE1590 features a smaller footprint, Fixed Internal Flash Memory Hard Drive, Internal AC-DC Power Supply, 12.1" Display and certified for in flight use.

2007 - GRiD Defence Systems launches the GRiDCASE 1510 Subnotebook. It is GRiD's smallest military laptop. Designed for handheld use and confined spaces. The 1510 uses Intel Ultra Low Power Processor which allows for Long Battery Life -and Low Heat Dissipation. The Subnotebook uses a 24V DC Input (MIL-STD-461) for applications such as Flight Line Data Loaders, Fire Control and System Test Sets.

2008 - GRiD Defence Systems launches the GRiDCASE 1590CD. Using the Intel CoreDuo processor, GRiD are able to provide high performance processing with low power consumption. Using our own electronics, designed in house, GRiD is able to provide custom requirements even more than before. With a modular design, GRiD are able to transfer the electronics into many different chassis' for varying applications.

2008 - GRiD Defence Systems launches the GRiDCASE 2500 Tablet PC. Using the Intel CoreDuo processor, GRiD are able to use the same electronics from the 1590CD in the GRiDCASE 2500 Tablet. The Tablet has a 10.4" Sunlight readable display with Touchscreen.

2008 - GRiD have developed a 4U Rack Mount Computer which uses the modular 1590CD Electronics which allows the user to have the same software loads and images on three different platforms.
